The Stage is Set for Kentucky’s November Elections

“When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan.” – Proverbs 29:2

With the conclusion of the Kentucky primary races on Tuesday, the stage is now set for Kentucky’s November elections. The general races for all six of the constitutional offices are now in place.

These races will determine in November who will be Kentucky’s next governor, attorney general, secretary of state, state auditor, commissioner of agriculture, and state treasurer. Each and every one of these executive offices are immensely important as each will shape the future of our beloved Commonwealth.

At the top of the ballot, the governor’s race will feature a showdown between the Democratic incumbent Gov. Andy Beshear and the Republican nominee, Daniel Cameron. The Kentucky race for governor is expected to garner much attention with the eyes of America looking to see which leader the Commonwealth will choose for the future ahead.

The Bible teaches when a society has righteous governing leaders, the people will rejoice. However, when the wicked govern the people feel the negative effects that accompany ungodly leadership and groan. As Kentuckians enter into this season of intense political campaigning, we must earnestly seek the Lord in prayer so that we can vote in those who will honor the Lord so that our Commonwealth can experience the blessings of having righteous leaders.

LET US PRAY…
Father, thank You for the incredible blessing we have as Americans to decide who our governing leaders will be. Lord, help each and every Kentuckian to vote this November for the individuals who will best uphold Biblical values in our state. Father, may those who are elected to statewide offices this November bring honor and glory to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
