BREAKING: Do No Harm Act Filed to Protect Kentucky Children from Mutilation & Hormone Experimentation

FRANKFORT, KY – The Family Foundation applauds State Representative Jennifer Decker for filing HB 470, the Do No Harm Act, to protect children in Kentucky from harmful “gender transition” procedures.

The Do No Harm Act prohibits “gender transition” procedures, including sex change surgeries, puberty-blocking drugs, and cross-sex hormones. The harms of each of these procedures are irreversible and no physically healthy child should ever be subjected to them.

Statement from David Walls, executive director of The Family Foundation:

The Kentucky General Assembly must take action this legislative session to protect our children from life-altering surgery or hormone experimentation – barbaric procedures that do tremendous and irreversible harm. I am grateful for the leadership of Rep. Jennifer Decker and many pro-family legislators for bringing forward such an important bill.

“No child should be told they are in the wrong body, subjected to irreversible harm by a predatory medical industry, and left to suffer the consequences. In Kentucky, we must do better for our children,” concluded Walls.

Kentuckians can take action to encourage their Kentucky legislators to support HB 470 and other important bills to protect children, including the Parental Rights Protection Act (HB 177 by Rep. Shane Baker), in our action center at kentuckyfamily.org/take-action/.
