Last Thursday marked the 60th, and final, day of Kentucky’s 2022 Legislative Session. I am thankful to the Lord for an extremely productive session with big victories for Kentucky families…

Because of your faithful financial support, activism & prayers, and the hard work of our entire team at The Family Foundation, several of our priority, pro-family bills have now become law in Kentucky:
SB 83, the Save Women’s Sports Act, that will ensure fairness in women’s sports by keeping biological males off our women’s and girls’ sports teams. The House and Senate voted to override Gov. Beshear’s veto on SB 83 on Wednesday.
HB 3, the pro-life Humanity in Healthcare Act, that stops “mail-order” abortions, protects our tax dollars from abortionists, and bans abortions after 15-weeks. The House and Senate voted to override Gov. Beshear’s veto on HB 3 on Wednesday.
HB 43, the Church is Essential Act, that will ensure Kentucky churches are never-again shut down with out-of-control emergency orders. HB 43 was signed into law last week.
SB 1, which includes important reforms to school site-based councils empowering local school boards and parents. It was also amended to include SB 138, the Teaching American Principles Act. The House and Senate voted to override Gov. Beshear’s veto on SB 1 on Wednesday.
And more good news! Because of your engagement, especially the last 48 hours, we are excited to share that efforts to expand predatory gambling in Kentucky (HB 606) were defeated!
We were also able to defeat efforts to legalize “medical” marijuana (HB 136)!
There will certainly be more to share about missed opportunities on other good bills, but as the 2022 session closes, I want to say thank you again for standing with us to advance Biblical values for the good of Kentucky families this legislative session.
2022 is truly shaping up to be a monumental year for the values that we all care deeply about.
