Let Us Pray

Let Us Pray: 41% of Young Voters Say the Killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO was Acceptable

“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.” – 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Yesterday, the Kentucky General Assembly convened and officially kicked off the 2025 legislative session. This year’s Kentucky legislative session will run through the rest of January, and all of February, and conclude on March 28, 2025.

This year’s legislative session is the shorter session, as every odd year is, and will only consist of a mere 30 days. This means, without a doubt, every day of the Kentucky General Assembly will be jam-packed, extremely busy, fast-paced, and important.

There are multiple exceedingly important pro-family measures that need to be implemented here in Kentucky in this legislative session that our team at The Family Foundation is concentrated on. We graciously ask for your prayers during this legislative session as we work tirelessly at the state Capitol to advocate for God-honoring public policy in our Commonwealth.

Also, the Scripture commands us to pray for all who are in high places, which in our context, are all who comprise the legislative, judicial, and executive branches at every level throughout our nation. Let us fervently pray that all of our governing authorities here in Kentucky will govern righteously in the sight of the Lord during this legislative session.

LET US PRAY…

Father, please infuse each and every governing authority in our nation with Your wisdom and truth so that they may rule righteously. Lord, empower us to work diligently and effectively as we advocate for God-honoring public policy here in the Commonwealth. Father, may You be glorified through all actions that take place during the 2025 Kentucky legislative session. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Every “Let Us Pray” devotional throughout this year’s legislative session will have the names of those in authority here in Kentucky so that we may fulfill our God-given command to pray for our governing leaders.
