303 Creative is a design studio and business that is owned by Lorie Smith in Denver, Colorado. Her career centers around graphic and website design to visually create messages for her clients.
Lorie uses her specialized creative abilities to promote principles and ideals that are aligned with her deeply held Christian faith. She wants to use her artistic abilities to provide wedding website design services but refuses to at this moment out of fear that she will be forced to advance messages about marriage that are against her Biblical convictions.
She fears that Colorado’s Anti-Discrimination Act (CADA) will be used to target her as it is the same law that has been employed to attack Jack Phillips for years now. In order to protect Smith and her business, attorneys from Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) filed a lawsuit on her behalf challenging CADA so she won’t be forced to create websites that would violate her deeply held religious beliefs.
In July 2021, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit stunningly decided she must under the law offer her services to both traditional and same-sex weddings despite her Biblical convictions that marriage is only between a man and a woman. Following this decision, ADF attorneys filed a petition urging the U.S. Supreme Court to hear this case.
Thankfully, the High Court granted her petition for review, and this morning the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments. This is a crucially important case as Smith’s and all Americans’ First Amendment rights hang in the balance.

Father, thank You, for allowing the U.S. Supreme Court to take up this case and allow oral arguments to be heard today. Lord, empower those who represent Lorie to be courageous and strong as they fight for our First Amendment rights. Father, may the U.S. Supreme Court rule in a way that honors and protects our First Amendment rights. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
