The Biden Administration has been determined to push forward an aggressive pro-abortion agenda since the beginning of their time in power. In fact, President Biden and his team have attempted to use the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act to force emergency room physicians to perform abortions.
The state of Texas, the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the Christian Medical and Dental Associations have been strong and have fought against the Biden Administration by filing a lawsuit. Thankfully, a lower court rightly ruled that the Biden Administration could not force emergency physicians to perform abortions.
Praise be to God, on Tuesday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit ruled to uphold the lower court’s decision to protect children, women, and healthcare providers. This ruling directly restricts the Biden Administration from illegally using the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act to force physicians to act against their convictions and religious beliefs to provide abortions.
The Biden Administration has been handed another loss in their attempt to further their pro-abortion agenda with this decision. Ryan Bangert who argued before the court in this case and serves as the Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives for ADF put it best when he said, “Hospitals—especially emergency rooms—are tasked with preserving life. The 5th Circuit correctly ruled that the federal government has no business transforming them into abortion clinics.”

Father, we praise You for this Court victory that will protect children, women, and healthcare providers. Lord, please empower physicians all over our land to always uphold their oath to preserve life. Father, please convict President Biden of his seriously wrong views on abortion and may he change course. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
