Few individuals have left a mark on this world for the Lord Jesus Christ like Dr. Charles Stanley has. The renowned and well-respected pastor recently passed away peacefully at this personal residence in Atlanta. He was 90 years of age.
Believers in Christ, since the pastor’s homegoing to heaven, have been celebrating his life that was clearly anointed and touched by God Himself. Dr. Stanley without a doubt is truly one of the most influential pastors to ever minister in the United States.
The highly esteemed pastor headed the historic First Baptist Church of Atlanta for an amazing fifty-one years. He also founded the non-profit ministry, In Touch Ministries, which was a global radio and television ministry that literally broadcast his sermons all over the world.
The influential reach of Dr. Stanley’s work for Christ cannot be overstated as his ministry reached literally an untold number of people from around the globe. Pastor Tony Evans of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship said, “We have all been impacted, influenced and transformed by his ministry locally, nationally and internationally.”
Dr. Stanley leaves behind a legacy that will live on through his timeless preaching and teaching of God’s Word that will continue to be aired on multiple platforms. The late pastor’s life was one characterized by faithfulness and obedience. May we strive to have the same thing said about ourselves.
