Recently, the abortion industry once again attacked our Commonwealth’s pro-life laws. Specifically, on December 8, 2023, the abortion giant Planned Parenthood and the ACLU targeted with a legal challenge the duly enacted Human Life Protection Act and the Heartbeat Law.
Erroneously, the abortion industry’s lawsuit suggests that somehow there is a hidden right in the Kentucky Constitution to abortion. In addition to the recent lawsuit, Planned Parenthood has spent a historic amount of money on deceptive campaign ads promoting abortion exceptions.
But praise be to God as Planned Parenthood and the ACLU have withdrawn the faulty and unsound legal challenge to Kentucky’s pro-life laws. The pro-abortion movement, however, continues to apply intense pressure to weaken and undermine our pro-life laws here in the Commonwealth.
As Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, and others attempt to erode away and undermine our pro-life laws in Kentucky, the pro-life movement must unite together in a no-retreat position to defend every human being from the point of conception forward. As the 2024 Kentucky General Assembly is set to begin in just a couple of weeks, our Kentucky legislature must commit to protecting every preborn child.

Father, we praise You that the abortion industry has dropped its latest legal challenge that targeted Kentucky’s pro-life laws. Lord, empower the Kentucky legislature to stand strong for life in the upcoming 2024 legislative session. Father, help us to defend human life in every possible way we can. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
