“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” – John 10:10
A couple of weeks ago, the ACLU filed a new legal challenge on behalf of a pregnant mother, “Mary Poe,” seeking class-action status for “pregnant individuals.” The lawsuit is requesting the Kentucky courts make up an imaginary right to abortion that would render Kentucky’s pro-life laws useless regardless of the 150-year pro-life history of the Commonwealth.
A few days ago, there was a preliminary hearing held on the ACLU’s meritless pro-abortion lawsuit. The court delayed a ruling so that both parties, attorneys for the ACLU and the Attorney General’s team, could gather evidence as to whether the plaintiff could accurately represent a class of all women who are or may become pregnant.
Heartbreakingly, after the hearing, the ACLU released a gut-wrenching statement that Mary Poe had crossed state lines and was able to obtain an abortion killing Baby Poe in the womb. Court documents state that Poe will remain a plaintiff in this case because she “satisfied Kentucky’s constitutional standing requirements at the time of filing, when she was pregnant and seeking abortion care.”
The Family Foundation will not give an inch in the fight to protect Kentucky’s preborn children from the murderous horror of abortion. In Baby Poe’s memory, The Family Foundation is committed to tirelessly defending all of Kentucky’s pro-life laws.
LET US PRAY…
Father, please strengthen Attorney General Coleman and his team as they defend Kentucky’s pro-life laws. Lord, may the court rule rightly on this case and keep in place Kentucky’s protections for the preborn. Father, may our state and nation truly honor, protect, and cherish every human life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
