Let Us Pray: ACLU Targets KY’s Pro-Life Laws

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.” – Psalm 139:13

The ACLU is following its old playbook and is back at it with its latest attack on Kentucky’s pro-life laws. Days ago, the ACLU filed a new legal challenge on behalf of a pregnant mother seeking class-action status for “pregnant individuals.”

The legal challenge is asking the Kentucky courts to make up an imaginary right to abortion that would render Kentucky’s pro-life laws useless. The challenge from the ACLU specifically targets Kentucky’s Human Life Protection Act and Heartbeat Law.

The seriousness of this lawsuit cannot be overstated as the flawed constitutional arguments that are being made by the ACLU would put all of Kentucky’s pro-life laws at risk. Even Kentucky’s bans on late-term abortion and discriminatory abortions based on race, sex, or disability will be put at risk because of the faulty lawsuit.

The lawsuit from the abortion industry absurdly suggests that somehow the Kentucky Constitution includes a secret right to abortion. This is an erroneous suggestion in light of Kentucky’s overwhelming 150-year pro-life history.

As the ACLU once again takes aim at Kentucky’s pro-life laws it reinforces once more that it is completely focused on the profit that abortion brings alone. Kentucky’s pro-life laws have and are saving numerous lives, and this is why Kentucky’s state judges must judge rightly and uphold the duly enacted pro-life laws of the Commonwealth.

LET US PRAY…

Father, thank You for Attorney General Coleman’s strong defense of pro-life laws, and please empower him and his team as they defend Kentucky’s pro-life laws from this new lawsuit. Lord, empower and strengthen our state judges to rightly uphold Kentucky’s pro-life laws. Father, may our state and nation truly honor, protect, and cherish every human life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
