Under the Biden Administration, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has reinterpreted the Affordable Care Act non-discrimination on the basis of sex to erroneously include gender identity. This radical reinterpretation has highly concerning implications for those in the medical profession.
This extreme reinterpretation would force physicians to carry out very dangerous transgender interventions and even perform these harmful procedures on children. Bluntly put, the Biden Administration’s HHS is attempting to force doctors to engage in life-altering transgender procedures and surgeries even if it goes against the doctors’ best medical judgment, conscience, or religious beliefs.
To fight this, the American College of Pediatricians and the Catholic Medical Association with the help and representation from Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit after the case was dismissed by a lower court. Last week, the 6th circuit heard oral arguments for the case where the two medical associations are challenging the HHS mandate.
Physicians should never be forced to act against their best judgment, conscience, or religious beliefs. Transgender procedures lead to permanent life-long harm, and thus, physicians should never be mandated to be a part of the serious damage that comes from prescribing these interventions.

Father, please empower the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit to rule righteously in this very important case. Lord, may physicians always be allowed to act in accordance with their best judgment, conscience, and religious beliefs here in the United States.
