Days ago, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced an utterly unprecedented and alarming action concerning the issue of abortion. The FDA disturbingly announced a regulatory change that will now allow local and retail pharmacies across America to sell medication abortion drugs over the counter.
In our post-Roe nation, abortion activists are now seeking other avenues, rather than surgical, to make abortions available in our country. Since the Dobbs decision this is why the Biden Administration has focused intensively on the availability of abortion pills.
It is an extremely sad reality that the Biden Administration and abortion advocates are working so hard to make readily available abortion drugs as these pills are tremendously dangerous. Not only do these pills cause the termination of a preborn child, but they also cause grave harm to women.
It has been documented that chemical abortions cause complications at up to four times the rate of surgical abortions. There is no other way to put it, this announcement and action by the FDA will lead not only to the termination of human life but also to tremendous horrors for women who participate in chemical abortions.
Thankfully, here in our Commonwealth because of our current pro-life laws these abortion pills will not be sold in our local pharmacies nor allowed to be mailed. However, this is a reminder that the pro-life movement in our nation and state still has much work to accomplish to protect all human life.

Father, help us to be effective advocates for human life here in Kentucky and throughout America. Lord, may Your light shine brightly in states where these dangerous abortion pills are allowed to be sold. Father, may the FDA acknowledge the hazardous reality of these drugs and reverse their course. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
