“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.” – Matthew 18:10
The New York Times has released a devastating study revealing a substantial expansion of mental health issues for younger Americans. Research that was conducted at Dartmouth concluded that between the years of 2009-2019 mental health hospitalizations have dramatically increased by 28.5 percent.
Furthermore, sadly, the report also revealed a jaw-dropping 163 percent increase in hospitalizations of younger Americans for suicide. This study at the very least reveals that American children are more confused, anxious, and depressed than ever before.
From a Christian perspective, not long ago, Gallop also released a very disturbing survey about younger Americans. What is vastly alarming in the survey is that it found that there is a much higher percentage of people who constitute Generation Z that are identifying as LGBT than in any other generation. In fact, 19.7 percent of members who are in Generation Z identify as LGBT, that is nearly one out of five people now in Generation Z identify as LGBT.
As Christians, we know we have a serious enemy, satan, who is looking to destroy (1 Peter 5:8), and with these reports, it is easily seen that the enemy has set a target on the backs of younger Americans. It must be said, sin always brings about some form of damage in one way or another.
Without a doubt, there is some correlation between the mental health issues of younger Americans and the surge of their identification as LGBT, which are lifestyles that the Bible calls us to stay away from (1 Cor. 6:18). As was witnessed during this year’s KY legislative session, there is an all-out war for the hearts and minds of the next generation. As was done with Senate Bill 150, Christians in Kentucky and all across our nation must continue to take a bold stand to protect our children from those who desire to radically push LGBTQ+ indoctrination on them which will ultimately never lead to a fruitful life.
LET US PRAY…
Father, please empower parents all over our nation to boldly parent their children and protect them from the attacks that are being thrown at them. Lord, help us to continue to effectively advocate for policies and measures that protect children from radical LGBTQ+ indoctrination. Father, please reveal to all Americans that human fruitfulness is experienced in the greatest measure when one’s life is aligned with Your Word. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
