“Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.” – Isaiah 1:17
During the 2022 Kentucky General Assembly, the legislature passed Senate Bill 83, the “Save Women’s Sports Act.” This bill protects the integrity of women’s sports here in Kentucky by ensuring that biological men cannot participate in them, thus protecting a level and fair playing field for female athletes.
Days ago, however, Attorney General Cameron joined a coalition of other attorneys general in filing a brief before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in order to defend Senate Bill 83 against the Biden Administration. The Biden Administration is attempting to force schools in Kentucky, and other states, to allow biological males to compete on women’s sports teams.
The brief directly opposes the Biden Administration’s interpretation of Title IX which has been expanded to include discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. This all comes after Attorney General Cameron and other attorneys general, last July, challenged the guidance of the U.S. Department of Education and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) to allow biological males to compete in female sports which ultimately was halted by a federal district court.
Now, however, the Biden Administration has appealed the district court’s ruling which has led to Attorney General Cameron and other attorneys general filing a brief arguing the Sixth Circuit should uphold the district court’s preliminary injunction against the (EEOC) Biden Administration’s illicit guidance. Thankfully, Attorney General Cameron is strongly defending the “Save Women’s Sports Act” in court.
LET US PRAY…
Father, thank You for Attorney General Cameron’s strong and bold defense of fairness in women’s sports. Lord, empower the Sixth Circuit to uphold the district court’s preliminary injunction so that women can play on a fair field of competition in sports here in Kentucky. Father, please enlighten President Biden and his Administration about the severe error they hold in their worldview of what it means to be a human. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
