“He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.” – Daniel 2:21
The already unprecedented 2024 presidential race just continues to get more complex and more unparalleled. Since President Biden’s disastrous presidential debate performance last month, he has been overwhelmed with growing calls from those within his own party to step down from his reelection bid for the White House.
On Sunday, in a shocking and abrupt announcement, President Biden dropped out of the presidential race. In a letter President Biden posted to X, he stated, “I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”
Also, on Sunday, President Biden released another statement endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democratic nomination this year. This situation has already ignited a massive amount of controversy surrounding the democratic process for selecting a party nominee and the invalidation of 14 million American votes that were cast for President Biden.
Another controversy brewing from this situation involves President Biden’s ability to continue serving in the role of Commander in Chief. If he is not fit to run for president, then how is he fit to serve as president? We must commit to prayer for our beloved country during this unprecedented presidential election.
LET US PRAY…
Father, we praise You as our Sovereign God that even in the midst of chaotic election seasons You remain the One who “removes kings and sets up kings.” Lord, please bring healing, peace, and restoration to our nation. Father, we pray that America will vote for a Commander in Chief who will obey Your Word and govern righteously. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
