“These are the things you are to do: Speak the truth to each other, and render true and sound judgment in your courts.” – Zechariah 8:16
The term “misgendering” occurs in a situation where an individual addresses a transgender person by the wrong pronouns. Recently, the Biden Administration’s Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced proposed guidance that treats “misgendering” in the workplace as harassment.
The EEOC is falling right in line with the Biden Administration’s extreme transgender game plan. This is an attempt by the Biden Administration to coerce businesses into adopting the radical transgender ideology the Administration holds.
According to this guidance, if one simply addresses a transgender individual at work with pronouns that align with that individual’s biological sex then “harassment” has taken place. This proposal has serious implications connected to it, such as people of faith being at risk because of their Biblical convictions.
The reality is, “misgendering” someone is not something a Christian does out of anger or hate with the intent to hurt, rather it is done out of obedience to God’s command, love for neighbor, and out of respect for God’s created order. Furthermore, by going along and using the preferred pronouns of a transgender person, one is going along with the lie that individuals can choose their own gender and redo what God has designed.
To truly love our neighbor means not going along with the lies of transgenderism that will lead to a life of negative consequences, but it means speaking the truth courageously so that our neighbor may understand God’s design of human sexuality and live in that truth and experience a fruitful life. Christians should never be at risk of being guilty of harassment for loving their neighbor and speaking the truth.
LET US PRAY…
Father, we pray that this proposed guidance on “misgendering” will ultimately be stopped. Lord, help us to always speak the truth in love no matter how difficult it may be. Father, help us to effectively and boldly advocate for Your design of human sexuality in our culture that is so confused. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
