“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” – Isaiah 5:20
President Biden and other abortion activists have come out swinging against the U.S. Supreme Court after a leaked draft opinion revealed that the Court is poised to overturn Roe v. Wade and return the abortion question back to the people’s representatives at the state level.
In 1973, Roe v. Wade overturned the prohibition on abortion in 30 states and has since been widely criticized as judicial overreach. Even the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who was considered the leader of the liberal justices, thought that Roe v. Wade was a “heavy-handed judicial intervention [that] was difficult to justify.”
But Biden and others have questioned the Court’s legitimacy now that the justices are prepared to correct their previous abuse of power.
Alarmingly, Biden attempted to justify the killing of a living unborn human being as “rights I have, not because the government gave them to me, but just because I’m a child of God, [because] I exist.”
This comment about inherent God-given rights that exist as a child of God came the day after Biden emphasized the right to “abort a child.”
President Biden has called evil (the killing of a living unborn human child) good (even invoking God as justification for it) and good (life, the most fundamental of human rights) evil (a “radical decision”).
LET US PRAY…
Father, have mercy on our nation and those who are so deceived that they promote evil as righteousness and denounce Your will as evil. Open the eyes of our nation to the truth and soften our hearts, that we may repent of our sin. May the U.S. Supreme Court stand firm on Truth and publish its opinion protecting life, so that the slaughter of the unborn will end. In Jesus’ name, amen.
