Let Us Pray

Christianity is Not About Silence

“And he said to them, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.’” – Mark 16:15

Without a doubt, hostility toward the Christian faith here in America is noticeably on the rise. Biblical values and principles such as the union of marriage being between one man and one woman, the sanctity of life, the objective reality of one’s biological sex being immutable, and more are under attack.

For some Christians, because of the intense pressure from the culture railing against Biblical values, they are choosing to keep their Christian faith private. This is playing out by some American Christians by staying silent on a variety of issues facing us today.

Our Lord, Jesus Christ, taught, however, that our Christian faith is never to be lived in private or in silence alone. Jesus taught that although our faith is personal, it is not private.  As believers, we are to go out into the world and live our faith out publicly.

Christians have been commanded by our Lord to proclaim the truth of God to all of creation. Let us boldly fulfill our Biblical command to share with our world the whole counsel of God.

LET US PRAY…

Father, empower us as Your people to boldly and publicly live out our faith in You. Lord, may we never be silent or secret about Your truth in our culture that rails against Biblical values. Father, may we be pleasing in Your sight as we seek to live a life that is glorifying to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
