“Before destruction a man’s heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.” – Proverbs 18:12
Over the last few years, many major companies in America have forced “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” (DEI) policies into nearly every facet of their business model. Thankfully, however, there has been a slew of major companies ditching DEI policies, especially since President Trump’s inauguration.
This is due to the four executive orders that President Trump signed on his first day in office that targeted DEI policies. The orders not only ended the federal government’s DEI policy but also changed the rules for federal contractors requiring any company that contracts with the federal government to be DEI-free.
These orders have put immense pressure on companies to ditch DEI policies and that is exactly what is happening. Recently, according to Axios, Disney, which is a massive corporation, will be trashing its DEI policies to, “focus more closely on business outcomes.” Over the last two years, Disney has lost an incredible amount of money because of its “inclusive” policies and lost over $1 billion on four movies that pushed radical “political agendas and storylines.”
Disney is joined by other major companies such as Target, Google, PepsiCo, Paramount, Warner Bros Discovery, and more that have now jumped on the train that is leaving DEI town in the dust. Here in Kentucky, the General Assembly is also advancing bills like HB 4 to remove DEI from public institutions. The tide is turning, with President Trump’s executive orders targeting DEI and with the American people taking a stand saying no more, we are witnessing a return to normalcy in corporate America at least on this front.
LET US PRAY…
Father, we praise You for President Trump’s executive orders that have targeted ridiculous DEI policies. Lord, we thank You for the multitude of Americans who have taken a stand and said no more to major companies forcing radical agendas on us and our families. Father, may we never underestimate the power of standing for Your truth in our culture. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Every “Let Us Pray” devotional throughout this year’s legislative session will have the names of those in authority here in Kentucky so that we may fulfill our God-given command to pray for our governing leaders.
