“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.” – Mark 9:42
“This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” – Psalm 118:24
Tomorrow, November 7, 2023, Kentuckians all across the Commonwealth will flock to polling locations to cast their ballots on this election day. At 6:00 a.m., polling locations throughout Kentucky will open and they will close at 6:00 p.m.
On the ballot for this election day in Kentucky are the state constitutional offices. Kentuckians will vote for key races which include the Secretary of State, Attorney General, State Treasurer, Auditor of Public Accounts, and Commissioner of Agriculture races.
The race that most Kentuckians will zoom in on and the one that has captured the attention of the nation is the governor’s race. Gov. Beshear is the incumbent and is seeking a second term. Current Attorney General Daniel Cameron is challenging him in what is considered to be a very close matchup as it stands.
Kentuckians need to cast their ballots with the Biblical principle in mind that when the righteous are in authority the people rejoice, and when the wicked rule the people suffer (Proverbs 29:2). On election day tomorrow, let us rejoice on this day that the Lord has made, and may we make the most of it by casting votes for righteousness.
LET US PRAY…
Father, we praise You that we live in a free country where we are able to elect our leaders. Lord, help us to never take the incredible blessing of being able to elect our leaders for granted. Father, empower each and every Kentuckian tomorrow to cast votes for righteousness. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
