“Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.” – 1 Corinthians 6:18
This week, Doss Elementary School in Austin, Texas forced its young students to participate in and celebrate “pride” week. In a shocking video uploaded by the Doss Elementary School’s principal, students were instructed and are seen participating in a “pride” parade where they walked the halls of the school displaying LGBTQ+ artwork and flags.
If this story isn’t already outrageous enough, it gets even more disturbing. One of the main rules that the administrators and teachers enforced on the children was that they could not share anything about the week with anyone. The school’s “Teacher Instruction Guide on ‘Pride’ Events” states, “If a child wants to discuss LBGT+ identity, listen with an open mind… Please remember that we agreed to keep what happened in this circle confidential.”
This school must be held accountable for its ridiculous command to its students to keep information from their parents who are responsible before the Lord to raise them in congruence with the teachings of Scripture. This stunt reveals exactly what those who hold to an LGBTQ+ worldview are all about, coerce and manipulate children to believe that celebrating “pride,” which is really sexual perversion is a noble and righteous action.
From a theological perspective, what this school and the LGBTQ+ movement are attempting to do in coercing children to affirm their worldview is very dangerous. Scripture commands individuals to flee from sexual immorality and here the LGBTQ+ movement is bent on trying to force children to accept and celebrate LGBTQ+ lifestyles, which the Bible calls sin. Lord, have mercy!

Father, please protect the children of Doss Elementary School in Austin, and may they understand Your truth about marriage, sexuality, gender, and life. Father, may events such as this one cease and stop being promoted in the schools throughout our land. Father, help parents to stand up all over our nation and reject this type of filth from being injected into their children’s school material. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
