Fear Not

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10

The cultural climate in the United States right now is one that has deviated from its founding Christian principles and is intensely secular. We now live in what is considered by some to be a post-Christendom culture.

To say that our society today in America is unfriendly to Biblical values is in many ways an understatement. The reality is there are some in our nation today who literally resent Biblical truth.

Christians and social conservatives who are willing to stand boldly and speak the truth in the public square are facing intense pressure. Specifically, those who publicly hold to a Biblical ethic in relation to human sexuality are likely to face some form of ridicule or rebuke.

Today, many Christians have decided to simply stay quiet and not speak up for Biblical truth out of fear of losing family, friends, their livelihood, and more. However, we are called by God to “fear not” and to be His public representatives to the world.

Fear of the world can be put into perspective and be overcome when the Scriptural truth that God is with us at all times, even in the midst of intense fire, is personally realized. As we seek to defend human life, uphold Biblical marriage, stay true to the Biblical teachings on human sexuality, and more, let us grasp and cling to the truth that no matter how difficult it becomes to stand for those truths in our post-Christendom culture, Almighty God will never leave us and will strengthen us to fulfill His plans.

LET US PRAY…
Father, may Your people all throughout our nation never be characterized as those who live in fear. Help us, Lord, to stand strong for You in all areas of life. Father, thank You, for never forsaking us and always empowering us to do Your work here in Kentucky and America. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
