“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.” – 1 Timothy 2:1-2
Early Wednesday morning, the Associated Press called the 2024 presidential race for former President Donald Trump, making him the President-Elect once more in defeating Vice President Kamala Harris. President-Elect Trump’s victory is nothing less than historic as the path he has traveled for this comeback seemed improbable due to the criminal charges that have been thrown at him, two assassination attempts, and more.
Trump is only the second U.S. President to return to the White House for a second term that was non-consecutive, as he was the 45th President and now will be the 47th President. The presidential race, although the pollsters said it was a neck-to-neck tied race, played out to be anything but close.
Trump won the election overwhelmingly in the electoral college, and he looks likely to have won all seven battleground states and the popular vote. Nevada and Arizona are still counting votes, but as it stands now, Trump is leading in both states. Without Nevada and Arizona, the Electoral Map numbers stand at 295 for Trump and 226 for Harris.
Also, with Tuesday’s election, the Republican Party took control of the U.S. Senate. The House remains up in the air. President Trump’s victory clearly reveals how out of touch the radical Left has become with Americans, as it advocates fervently for harmful transgender ideologies, radical pro-abortion views, and anti-family policies.
LET US PRAY…
Father, please empower President Trump during this transition period to appoint individuals in his administration who will look to You for guidance. Lord, help President Trump to govern over the next four years in a way that will bring honor to You. Father, please give Your wisdom to President Trump as he is inheriting many heavy issues both in our nation and around the world. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
