“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” – 1 Corinthians 10:31
While we are attending church services, Bible studies, and other various church functions, our focus is and should be on glorifying God. Glorifying God, however, should never be restrained or limited to any time or place.
The holiness, righteousness, omnipotence, and omniscience of God demands that His image-bearers respect and glorify Him in every sphere of life. In every facet of life, in our homes, at our workplace, and at recreational events we are to live lives that bring glory to God.
If we are going to be faithful, as believers in Christ, this means that we are to also bring God glory through our actions in our culture and society. To see God glorified throughout our culture means that we must engage and influence our society for the sake of Christ and His truth. If we desire to see Christ lifted high in Kentucky and throughout America, then engaging the culture for righteousness is not optional, but rather mandatory.
Without a doubt, it is a difficult endeavor to see God glorified in the public square, as much of our society has abandoned His truth. That is why we must rely on the Holy Spirit’s power for courage and strength in our efforts to glorify God in every sphere of our society.
LET US PRAY…
Father, empower us with Your Spirit to engage our culture for Your glory. Lord, give us the strength and courage we need to always stand for You and Your truth. Father, may we seek to glorify You in every sphere of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
