Gov. Beshear Leads LGBTQ Rally (February 18, 2022)

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!” – Isaiah 5:20

The Family Foundation on Tuesday had a well-attended rally where many Kentuckians gathered to celebrate faith, family, and freedom. Those gathered on the front steps of the Kentucky Capitol sent a clear message that God must be honored in our legislative process if we desire to see His blessings on the Commonwealth.

Not surprisingly, the mainstream media did not carry hardly any stories or articles on our Faith, Family & Freedom Rally. Instead, the media carried multiple stories of a small rally that happened the next day at the Capitol that featured Gov. Andy Beshear at the LGBTQ+ special rights rally.

As Beshear spoke, he made it clear that he believed more LGBTQ special rights ordinances should be passed in Kentucky’s communities. Not only this, but the Governor also went as far as to say that he supports a statewide LGBTQ “fairness” law.

These types of ordinances and “Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity” (SOGI) laws have been used to attack people of faith and target business owners who simply want to operate according to their Biblical convictions. The LGBTQ rally also promoted a number of other radical bills, including a so-called “conversion therapy” ban. These bills actually seek to criminalize biblical counseling and attack the very essence of the Gospel.

It is a sad reality, that our Governor desires to see these types of dangerous and harmful laws enacted here in Kentucky that pose severe threats to people of faith.

LET US PRAY . . .
Father, please open the spiritual eyes of Gov. Beshear to see that when he promotes lifestyles that You identify as sin, he is actually calling evil good. Father, thank you for all those that turned out for our Rally in support of public policy that honors You. Lord, may Your will be done in Frankfort this legislative session. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
