Let Us Pray: Grocery Giant Clarifies That It Is Not Selling Abortion Drug

“Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise him in the heights!” – Psalm 148:1

The grocery giant, Kroger, is the second-largest grocery chain in the United States and one of the largest pharmacy chains in the nation as well. On December 12, the pro-life group, Live Action, first reported that Kroger was selling the dangerous abortion pill, mifepristone, at its pharmacies.

Not only did the grocery giant’s website show that it was selling mifepristone but listed the drug at a massive discount. Planned Parenthood states that mifepristone’s average cost at its businesses is $580, while Kroger’s Health Savings Club members could purchase the drug at a significantly lower cost of just $7.

However, just days ago, Kroger publicly stated that there has been a massive mistake as the company does not carry or sell mifepristone, or any other form of the abortion pill. Furthermore, the drug is no longer listed on the company’s website.

Danielle Lewis Jones, Head of Communications for Kroger Health stated, “Mifepristone was listed on the Kroger Health Savings Club site, which is managed by a third party, in error. The Kroger Family of Pharmacies do not carry Mifepristone, nor do we dispense it.” Praise the Lord, one of our nation’s largest grocery stores and pharmacies, where many women shop is not selling the dangerous abortion pill that kills pre-born babies and harms women.

May CVS and Walgreens follow the lead of Kroger and put an end to the selling of abortion drugs. Thankfully, for now, Kroger’s pharmacies remain a place of healing, whereas CVS and Walgreens’ pharmacies with the selling of abortion drugs have become places of destruction, demise, and death.

LET US PRAY…

Father, we praise You that Kroger has clarified that it is not selling mifepristone which kills innocent pre-born babies and greatly harms women. Lord, we praise You for the numerous lives that will be saved because of Kroger’s decision not to carry the abortion drug. Father, we praise You that here in Kentucky the abortion drug cannot be sold in pharmacies. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
