“And you shall do what is right and good in the sight of the LORD, that it may go well with you, and that you may go in and take possession of the good land that the LORD swore to give to your fathers.” – Deuteronomy 6:18
Days ago, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster (R) signed into law House Bill 4624, which is a form of the “Help Not Harm” bill. This bill protects minors in South Carolina from gender transition procedures and the devastation and damage that accompanies them.
The text of the bill states, “A physician, mental health provider, or other health care professional shall not knowingly provide gender transition procedures to a person under eighteen years of age.” It goes on to clarify that, “Gender transition procedures’ means puberty-blocking drugs, cross-sex hormones, or genital or nongenital gender reassignment surgery, provided or performed for the purpose of assisting an individual with a physical gender transition.”
Along with House Bill 4624 prohibiting the irreversible effects that gender transition procedures have on minors, it also prohibits public funds from going to gender transition procedures of any kind. The bill also restricts the state’s Medicaid Program from providing resources or reimbursement payments for gender transition procedures.
The Palmetto State has become the 25th state to protect minors from gender transition procedures and from the horrors that go along with the procedures. Praise be to God, half of the states that comprise the United States, including Kentucky, have now outlawed these devastating gender transition procedures on minors. Momentum is continuing to grow in this effort, and may the other 25 states left follow suit soon.
LET US PRAY…
Father, we thank You that kids in South Carolina are now protected from the dangerous gender transition procedures. Lord, please empower the other half of the states in our nation to pass similar legislation to protect confused and vulnerable children. Father, may our nation collectively honor and respect Your truth. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
