“… but judge with right judgment.” – John 7:24b
House Bill 3, the “Humanity in Healthcare Act” was overwhelmingly passed by the Kentucky General Assembly during the recent legislative session. Almost immediately, the ACLU and Planned Parenthood, both in Louisville, took aggressive action by filing legal challenges against the bill.
Unfortunately, on April 21, 2022, U.S. District Judge Rebecca Jennings issued a temporary restraining order halting Kentucky’s newly passed pro-life law. This is yet another case where a judge has fallen prey to the tactics of the pro-abortion movement and issued an activist ruling.
This morning, however, there will be a preliminary injunction hearing taking place in regard to the pro-life omnibus bill where Judge Jennings will preside. Both, pro-life advocates defending House Bill 3, and detractors who are opposing the bill will have a chance to argue for or against the different provisions found in the bill.
The arguments will examine the constitutionality of the provisions and inspect the need for those provisions to remain as law in the intermediate time before an official ruling can be made. The “Humanity in Healthcare Act” needs to be reinstated as law, as women and unborn children desperately need the protections the bill offers in the Commonwealth.
May Judge Rebecca Jennings “judge with right judgment!”
LET US PRAY…
Father, fill those who are defending House Bill 3 this morning in court with Your wisdom, strength, and knowledge. Lord, empower Judge Jennings to rule righteously and reinstate this very important pro-life law. Father, empower and use us to bring about a state where life is cherished, defended, and protected. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
