“Did not he who made me in the womb make him? And did not one fashion us in the womb?” – Job 31:15
This morning, the massively important pro-life omnibus bill, House Bill 3, will be heard in the Veterans, Military Affairs, & Public Protection (H) Committee. House Bill 3, the “Humanity in Healthcare Act” is a powerful and intensive piece of pro-life legislation that encompasses many important pro-life provisions.
The aim of House Bill 3 is to primarily defend and protect the dignity of human life within the medical profession. The highly needed “Humanity in Healthcare Act” was filed by Rep. Nancy Tate on February 8th.
One key provision found in the bill is that it prohibits abortion-inducing drugs from being provided by courier, delivery, or mail service or in any school facility or on state grounds. Another key provision in the bill is the requiring of dignified disposal of fetal remains. Also, there is a key provision prohibiting the use of public funds for abortion procedures. These are a few among other important pro-life provisions in the bill.
Personhood inside and outside the womb must be recognized and defended as all human life bears the image of almighty God. The very image of God that each human bears is worth defending and therefore the KY General Assembly needs to pass House Bill 3.
LET US PRAY . . .
Father, may the Veterans, Military Affairs, & Public Protection (H) Committee favorably pass the important “Humanity in Healthcare Act” today. Lord, may this bill progress on and pass through the House of Representatives and the Senate so that it will become law here in Kentucky. Father, may our Kentucky legislators truly understand that every human life from the point of conception is a person made in Your image who has intrinsic worth and value. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
