Let Us Pray

Let Us Pray: Kentucky’s Prominent Abortion Mill to be Destroyed

“Better is the end of a thing than its beginning, and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.” – Ecclesiastes 7:8

Since 1981, EMW Women’s Surgical Center has been the prominent abortion mill in Kentucky where sadly thousands upon thousands of preborn children were murdered in the womb. The gut-wrenching reality is that EMW is responsible for the termination of well over 100,000 pre-born children.

The work of EMW spanned a six-state region where the abortion mill enticed vulnerable women into ending the lives of their pre-born children. Praise be to God, on June 24, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade which put into effect Kentucky’s pro-life trigger law that prohibits abortion.

A year later, in 2023, due to not being able to perform any abortions, the EMW announced that it was selling its facilities as it was going out of business and would be closing for good. Days ago, the property was purchased by Zyyo, a New York City real estate development company, which plans to completely demolish the facility in order to build a brand new $175 million hotel on the property.

Praise the Lord, in short order, the facilities of EMW that horrifyingly housed the killing of innocent lives of untold numbers will be brought to nothing but rubble, and the evil that was committed there will be put permanently into the trash bin of history. This is an encouraging reminder that the patient prayers and actions of faithful Christians are never in vain. It took over forty years of faithful praying and pro-life advocacy to see the day when the prominent abortion mill in Kentucky, EMW, will exist no more.

LET US PRAY…

Father, we praise You that the EMW Women’s Surgical Center that ended the lives of way too many pre-born children is going to be completely destroyed. Lord, we praise You that life is winning here in our Commonwealth. Father, empower us to always advocate for Your truth as we know it is never in vain. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Every “Let Us Pray” devotional throughout this year’s legislative session will have the names of those in authority here in Kentucky so that we may fulfill our God-given command to pray for our governing leaders.
