“Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.” – John 7:24
At the end of last week, pro-life Kentuckians celebrated and rejoiced because of a righteous ruling that came from Kentucky’s high court. In a much-anticipated decision, the Kentucky Supreme Court by a 4-3 margin ruled to uphold our state’s pro-life laws.
Last June, the United States Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade which returned the issue of abortion back to the States to decide on. When Roe fell, immediately Kentucky’s “Human Life Protection Act” and “Heartbeat Law” went into effect.
Almost immediately after these pro-life laws went into effect they were targeted and challenged in court by the pro-abortion side. Thankfully, however, Attorney General Daniel Cameron and his team have vigorously defended Kentucky’s pro-life laws against these attacks.
Although the battle continues to defend life, thankfully, the Supreme Court of Kentucky “judged with right judgment” by allowing these pro-life laws to stay in effect while the case continues in circuit court. Practically speaking, because of this ruling abortion facilities in the Commonwealth remain closed, abortion remains illegal, and the right to life remains protected.
LET US PRAY…
Father, we praise You that in this case the Kentucky Supreme Court “judged with right judgment.” Lord, thank You, for Attorney General Cameron and his team for their willingness and courage to defend truth. Father, we praise You for the lives that are being saved because of this decision. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
