Increasingly, even by just a quick observation of the culture around us, it seems our society is losing direction, morally speaking. Many things exploit this fact, including the very dangerous transgender ideology that is prominent in our culture right now.
Recently, a stunt from Merriam-Webster’s online dictionary made headlines that undergirded the reality that as a collective nation we are losing moral direction. Once upon a time dictionaries were objective resources for information. Dictionaries provided the meaning and information about a word without political influence or pressure.
However, now Merriam-Webster’s online dictionary has given into the moral chaos of the transgender movement and has redefined the word, “female.” This definition has now been added to the word “female” in the dictionary, “having a gender identity that is the opposite of male.” In other words, anyone can be a female as long as that is how they identify themselves.
Going down a path that refuses to accept biological and objective truth, such as the case with transgender ideology, will only lead to more confusion and havoc for our nation. For America to once again experience the sense of sustainability, strength, and blessings from God we must collectively return and abide by God’s truth.
LET US PRAY…
Father, help our nation to understand that when Your truth is ignored and rejected, chaos and havoc are heightened greatly. Lord, empower America to return to Your truth in all areas of life including gender, marriage, and human sexuality. Father, may we not be a nation that goes down a path, “that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.”
