On September 29, the National School Boards Association (NSBA) sent a letter to President Biden requesting federal authorities to investigate and prosecute concerned parents objecting to controversial policies regarding gender identity, critical race theory, mask mandates, etc.
The letter labeled concerned parents, including those just speaking their mind at board meetings, as domestic terrorists and urged Biden to invoke the PATRIOT Act to punish them.
The Biden Administration, on October 4, ordered the FBI to get involved in local school board meetings by opening an investigation
A number of parents, lawmakers, state attorneys general, and others expressed great alarm that the FBI would be “weaponized” against parents and warned that constitutionally-protected speech would likely be stifled.
At least 11 state school board organizations are now distancing themselves from the NSBA’s letter, with at least 8 publicly condemning the action. Some states are calling it a clear case of federal overreach and calling for a review of the NSBA’s leadership.

Father, thank You that parents are taking their responsibility seriously and standing up for the wellbeing of their children. Give them the wisdom and discernment to do so in the right way. Thank You that the intimidation and abuse of the National School Boards Association and the Biden Administration is being condemned. May genuine threats of violence be addressed by local authorities, while free speech and advocacy is protected. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
