“Making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil” – Ephesians 5:16
In the Apostle Paul’s letter to the church of Ephesus, specifically in the fifth chapter and sixteenth verse, Paul makes clear to the believers to whom he is addressing that they are living in evil times. We too, like the Ephesian believers, are living in dark days as our culture, by and large, is continuing down a path that is antithetical to the Word of God.
However, even in the midst of evil days Paul urgently encouraged the church of Ephesus to “make the most of every opportunity.” In Paul’s statement, He is reminding even us today that although the days we live in are evil, each and every day is a gift from God that should be lived wisely to do His will.
“Making the most of every opportunity” means seizing the day to accomplish the greatest amount of good for God whenever and however we can.
Kentucky is nearly one week away from one of the most monumental days in our state’s history. Let us make the most of November 8th by casting a vote for righteousness for the “Yes for Life” Amendment.
Let us be resolved in this final week leading up to November 8th to seize this moment and make the most of it for God and His truth in our Commonwealth.
LET US PRAY…
Father, empower believers all over the Commonwealth to make the most of this opportunity we have on November 8th to protect human life throughout our state. Lord, help us in this final week leading up to the vote to seize every opportunity You give us to encourage others to vote Yes on Amendment 2. Father, may we see each day as the gift it truly is to do Your will. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
