“Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.” – Psalm 25:22
What has been described as Israel’s 9/11 occurred just a little over one year ago on October 7, 2023. On that date, Israel was brutally attacked by terrorists affiliated with Hamas who launched a heinous surprise attack where they fired thousands of rockets into Israel, and militants invaded the nation by air, sea, and land.
Heartbreakingly, the violent massacre left 1,200 people dead, including some Americans, and 251 people kidnapped. Israel’s military forces responded swiftly to the attack by sending Israeli warplanes which pulverized Gaza City with relentless bombing, leaving parts of the city in ashes. The war has continued over the last 12 months.
Unfortunately, the war has only spread and widened in scope over the past year due to the antagonistic actions of Iran. Iran controls regional non-state actors who desire what Iran desires, and that is the total destruction of Israel. Iran is using them to launch attacks against Israel as well.
Recently, the Islamic Republic of Iran launched an unfounded and deliberately cruel attack on Israel, as the Jewish nation is in the midst of defending itself against the non-state actors in the region. As Israel continues to successfully defend itself from Iran and other terrorist groups in the region, we must remember that at the core this is a spiritual issue. The reality is, that the hate of the Jewish nation is ultimately driven by the hate of Almighty God.
LET US PRAY…
Father, please redeem Israel out of all of his troubles. Lord, please give Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and all of Israel’s leaders Your wisdom and courage to act correctly in this very volatile time. Father, may this war end quickly, and may Israel live in peace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
