“Thus says the LORD of hosts, Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another.” – Zechariah 7:9
Today, the United States Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on the critical case of United States v. Skrmetti. This case centers around a Tennessee law that protects children from the harmful and dangerous life-altering gender “transition” procedures.
The Family Foundation, along with other allied family policy organizations, has joined an amicus brief supporting Tennessee’s protections for children against life-altering gender “transition” interventions that cause great harm to their healthy bodies. The Supreme Court decided to review the law after the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the Tennessee law and Kentucky’s SB 150 that protects children from dangerous experimental “transition” procedures.
There are 23 states across our nation that have passed legislative measures that protect minors from life-altering gender “transition” interventions. With this case, the Supreme Court has the opportunity to definitively rule that all 23 states that have these essential protections in place are consistent with the U.S. Constitution.
This morning, one of our teammates at The Family Foundation, Nick Spencer, is joining some of our pro-family allies for a rally encouraging the U.S. Supreme Court to rule rightly in this case. Confused and vulnerable kids found much-needed shelter in the 23 states where legislative measures have been passed to protect them from needless harm that accompanies gender “transition” procedures, and our High Court needs to definitely rule to keep these protections in place.
LET US PRAY…
Father, please help each and every member of the U.S. Supreme Court to rule righteously in the case of United States v. Skrmetti. Lord, may the U.S. Supreme Court rule definitively in this case so that these protections for minors in these 23 states can remain in place. Father, may our nation honor Your truth and uphold the beauty of Your created order. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
