Pro-Life Giant in Kentucky Passes Away

“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you.” – Philippians 1:3

Margie Montgomery co-founded and helped establish Kentucky Right to Life in 1973. From 1974 to 2020, just a little shy of five decades, Montgomery ferociously defended human life as the executive director of Kentucky Right to Life.

Earlier this month, on July 4th, Montgomery passed away at the age of 91. She dedicated and committed much of her life to defending innocent lives and fighting abortion.

Kentucky Right to Life released this statement after Montgomery’s passing, “Margie inspired thousands upon thousands to join the cause for Life. The entire prolife community is extremely grateful for her unwavering passion and leadership. Margie will forever be remembered in the highest regard.”

As we remember the relentless and tireless work of this pro-life giant, may we praise God for such a great warrior who effectively defended human life. Montgomery was a pioneer in the pro-life movement, and thus, she played a major part in where the movement stands today.

LET US PRAY…

Father, we praise You for the immensely important work that Margie Montgomery accomplished in defending human life. Lord, thank you for her vision and dedication for nearly fifty years in the pro-life movement here in Kentucky. Father, may her life’s efforts be continued as the pro-life movement continues forward. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
