“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15:13
Monday night, America felt tsunami-like shock waves run throughout the very fabric of our nation as a major U.S. Supreme Court ruling on abortion was reported as imminent. Pro-life Americans who have been intensively laboring to protect and defend innocent life in the U.S. for close to five decades since the egregious 1973 Roe v. Wade decision to legalize abortion were jolted with hope that has not been felt for close to fifty years.
This fervent hope is in direct relation to the leak of a draft opinion published by Politico concerning the Dobbs case in which the U.S. Supreme Court is poised to strike down Roe v. Wade. If this in fact happens, then the subject of abortion will return to the states and their respective legislatures to handle the issue.
If Roe is overturned, thankfully, our Commonwealth is in a preeminent position to be one of the most well-fortified pro-life states in the nation. After Roe, however, there will still be much work to accomplish to protect life, including Kentucky’s ‘Yes for Life’ Constitutional Amendment on the ballot in November of 2022.
As we await an official decision by the U.S. Supreme Court on Roe, let us seek the Lord in vehement prayer besieging Him to empower the U.S. Supreme Court to end this senseless genocide of innocent life called “abortion.” After the butchering of 62 million Americans in the womb, it is time for the Supreme Court to rule rightly and end this wicked horror in our land. Lord, may it be!
LET US PRAY…
Father, please empower the U.S. Supreme Court Justices to courageously act and rule to overturn the Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion. Lord, may America be a post-Roe nation very soon. Father, empower Kentuckians to vote for the “Yes for Life” Amendment in November. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
