Let Us Pray

“But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” – James 1:5

Kentucky’s state legislators are about to meet in a highly anticipated special session to address COVID-19.

The special session comes after the Kentucky Supreme Court’s unanimous decision upholding laws passed by the General Assembly to ensure that they have more say in emergency measures, rather than being the sole discretion of the Governor.

Masks, vaccine mandates, social distancing, and other emergency measures taken in response to COVID-19 remain divisive issues in our society, with emotions often high on both sides of the debate.

Let’s pray that the Lord grant our lawmakers wisdom as they seek to balance individual liberty, religious beliefs, science, recommendations from health officials, and other considerations.

LET US PRAY . . .
Father, please be with Kentucky’s state senators and representatives during the special session. Give them ears to hear input, discernment to know which input is accurate, and the wisdom to chart a path forward. May you bless our state and continue to comfort those who have lost loved ones during this pandemic. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
