Time seems to be moving at warp speed, as each day seems to go by quicker than the previous one. It is hard to believe that we are over halfway through the 2022 legislative session here in our beloved Commonwealth.
This past week marked the filing deadline for bills to be filed in both the House of Representatives and the Senate. A little over three weeks is all that is left until the beginning of the veto period. There is a mere six weeks until the complete end of the legislative session.
There are exceedingly important and necessary bills that desperately need to be passed quickly as the finish line of the 2022 legislative session is moving closer and closer each day. One of these important bills is the “Save Women’s Sports Act” which protects female athletes and ensures a fair and level playing field for them by prohibiting biological males from destroying women’s sports.
Another important bill that desperately needs to pass this session is the “Church is Essential Act” which protects the fundamental human right of Kentuckians to worship and exercise their faith, especially during times of crises and emergencies.
As these and other necessary bills still need to be passed, it is absolutely paramount for the Body of Christ here in Kentucky to finish strong in the Lord’s strength this legislative session by faithfully and fervently advocating for God-honoring public policy.

Father, help us, to finish this legislative session well by faithfully and fervently advocating for public policy that honors You. Lord, empower the KY General Assembly to see the necessity of bills like the “Save Women’s Sports Act” and the “Church is Essential Act.” Father, help Your people, to be effective advocates for Your truth in our culture.
