Let Us Pray: Supreme Court Blocks Biden-Harris Admin’s Title IX Rule

“These are the things which you should do: speak the truth to one another; judge with truth and judgment for peace in your gates.” – Zechariah 8:16

The Biden-Harris Administration, back in April, announced updated and highly concerning Title IX regulations. Within these proposed regulations, the Biden-Harris Administration announced that it was redefining the term “sex” in federal law.

Specifically, the new rule redefines the term “sex” to include “gender identity,” “sexual orientation,” “sex stereotypes,” and “sex characteristics.” These new regulations attack the very purpose of Title IX, which exists to legally protect women within public education from discrimination on the basis of sex.

Thankfully, up to this point, there have been two lower courts which put temporary injunctions in place, thereby halting the ridiculous new rules from going into effect. After the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 5th and 6th Circuits granted the preliminary injunctions, the Biden-Harris Administration appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court.

On Friday, Praise the Lord, the Supreme Court upheld the two lower courts’ temporary injunctions and stopped the concerning Title IX regulations from going into effect. This is a big win for girls and women’s sports as now public K-12 schools and universities are not going to be forced to open girls’ locker rooms, restrooms, and sports to biological males.

LET US PRAY…

Father, we praise You for the right and correct decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold the temporary injunctions that were put on the Biden-Harris Administration’s Title IX regulations by the lower courts. Lord, may our nation as a collective whole honor and respect Your created order. Father, empower us to be effective advocates for Your truth in our culture. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
