“To show partiality to the wicked is not good, Nor to thrust aside the righteous in judgment.”
– Proverbs 18:5
On Friday, the U.S. Supreme Court allowed the continued enforcement of the Texas heartbeat bill on a temporary basis, but scheduled oral arguments on a challenge by the Department of Justice for November 1.
Every day that Texas’s pro-life law remains in effect is good news, as hundreds of babies are being saved.
However, pro-life advocates have some concern that the Court scheduled oral arguments so rapidly–the quickest of any case since 2000.
Our high court’s justices have urgent and important judgments to make, let us pray they are righteous decisions.
The Court is also hearing oral arguments in a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade, the case that legalized abortion, on December 1. The case is named Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.
LET US PRAY . . .
Father, guide the hearts and minds of the justices and their law clerks as they consider the legal, philosophical, and moral arguments surrounding the issue of abortion. May they decide righteously and stop the slaughter of America’s preborn children. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
