“The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad.” – Psalm 126:3
On Friday, the 2025 Kentucky legislative session officially wrapped up and is now in the history books. Praise be to God, many crucial pro-family bills were passed during this General Assembly and have now become law.
Some of these pro-family measures include HJR 15, which restores the Ten Commandments Monument back to the grounds of the State Capitol. SB 2 and HB 495, which bans taxpayer-funded “gender transitions” and reverses Gov. Beshear’s unlawful “conversion therapy” executive order. HB 4, which bans and defunds harmful DEI policies in Kentucky universities, and more.
Unfortunately, during the veto period of the legislative session, Gov. Beshear vetoed many of the pro-family measures that were passed in an attempt to thwart them from becoming law. Thankfully, many in the Kentucky legislature stood strong against his attempt to prevent the good bills from becoming law and overwhelmingly took immediate action by overriding the Governor’s vetoes which gave final passage to pro-family and pro-life bills such as HB 495, HB4, HB 90, and more.
By God’s grace, the 2025 Kentucky legislative session has produced many good God-honoring laws here in our Commonwealth that are pleasing to the Lord. Believers across Kentucky can gladly proclaim with the Psalmist today that, “The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad.”
LET US PRAY…
Father, thank You for helping us finish this legislative session well by faithfully and fervently advocating for public policy that honors You. Lord, we praise You for the many good and righteous bills that were passed during this legislative session. Father, remind us that Your blessings are on states and nations that align their laws with Your Word. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
