Former President Donald Trump, without a doubt, had one of the most pro-life administrations in United States history. The overturning of Roe v. Wade, which ruthlessly allowed for the murder of over 63 million Americans in the womb, was directly related to President Trump’s critically important judicial nominations to the nation’s High Court.
Days ago, however, he released a statement where he put forth his position on abortion that has left many in the pro-life movement scratching their heads. The former President in the statement said that he supported the practices of in vitro fertilization (IVF), supported exceptions for abortion in cases of rape and incest, and believed that the issue of abortion should be decided at the state level.
Much concern from the pro-life movement centers on the former President making it clear in the statement that abortion did not need to be a federal issue. He stated, “the states will determine by vote or legislation or perhaps both, and whatever they decide must be the law of the land, in this case, the law of the state… this is all about the will of the people.”
The problem here is that pro-choice advocates are working overtime to pass federal legislation to allow for abortion through all nine months of pregnancy. Innocent life in the womb deserves and needs to be protected at the federal level, as there are many states that are extremely pro-abortion in their laws.
The reality is, that the efforts to protect life are far from over, and we need to protect innocent life at every level including the federal, state, and local levels. As pre-born babies’ lives hang in the balance we must strongly advocate for pro-life measures at every level until every child in the womb is protected, valued, and honored, no matter the circumstances surrounding their conception.

Father, we praise You for the pro-life record of former President Donald Trump and his direct relation to the overturning of Roe. Lord, empower him to see the importance and need to advocate for pro-life measures at all levels of government. Father, strengthen Your people to stand strong for the dignity of human life as our work is far from being done. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
