Let Us Pray

Tomorrow is National Day of Prayer

“For you are my lamp, O Lord, and my God lightens my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall. This God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; He is a shield for all those who take refuge in Him.” – 2 Samuel 22:29-31

Tomorrow, Thursday, May 2, 2024, is the 73rd annual National Day of Prayer. Ever since 1952, the United States has set aside the first Thursday in May to observe the Nation Day of Prayer.

As a nation, this is a day of great importance as we desperately need Almighty God to hear and answer the prayers of His people to heal and bless our land. Let us pray with great confidence, as we know that prayer is so powerful because we are allowed to go straight to God who is infinitely able to answer any request we bring to Him.

All across America, and across our Commonwealth, tomorrow, there will be public gatherings at City Halls, Courthouses, churches, and other venues to pray to God for our nation. Members of The Family Foundation team will be attending various prayer gatherings throughout the state and encourage you to do the same.

The theme of this year’s National Day of Prayer comes from 2 Samuel 22:29-31, and it is, “Lift Up the Word, Light Up the World.” There is no doubt about it, the world does seem to be growing darker and darker, let us with boldness tomorrow, lift up the Word of God throughout our nation and light up our country!

LET US PRAY…

Father, thank You for the incredible blessing of being able to go directly to You in prayer. Lord, please heal every facet of our land and bless our nation. Father, may Your Name be lifted high today and honored all across America. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
