On September 24, 2021, with the Leadership of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her cronies, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the most radical pro-abortion bill in our nation’s history. The bill is entitled, the “Women’s Health Protection Act,” however, this extreme piece of legislation has absolutely nothing to do with women’s health, and everything to do with abortion.
The “Women’s Health Protection Act” will nullify many commonsense health protections for women; along with any and all limitations on abortion, stretching it to simply become an on-demand service.
The bill will not allow states to pass new pro-life laws of any kind and will also prohibit any state from enforcing the pro-life laws that are already in place, essentially voiding them. Furthermore, pro-life Americans will be coerced to fund abortions as the Hyde Amendment and other long-held bipartisan safeguards will be torn away.
It is expected that at some point this week, the U.S. Senate will vote on this egregious bill. The timing and urgency behind the U.S. Senate leadership bringing this bill to the floor for a vote is in retaliation of the leaked U.S. Supreme Court draft opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade and allow states to enact commonsense protections for women and the unborn.
Thankfully, it seems as if the “Women’s Health Protection Act” is dead upon arrival on the U.S. Senate floor, as all Republican senators have indicated they will vote no. Also, Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) has signaled he will vote no on the bill as well. This lethal piece of legislation must be terminated and discarded or the pre-born in the womb will be terminated in even greater numbers.
LET US PRAY…
Father, empower the U.S. Senate to courageously stand for life and strike down this lethal piece of legislation. Lord, please reveal to those who advocate for abortion that they are in actuality advocating for murder. Father, help the U.S. Supreme Court to act righteously and strike down Roe. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
