“But select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain—and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.” – Exodus 18:21
In just three weeks (May 17), Kentucky voters will select the candidates that will represent their political party in the November election.
Though Primary Elections can sometimes see lower levels of voter turnout, they are extremely important and provide a unique opportunity for voters to influence the direction of the political party they belong to and select who will be on the ballot in November.
Voters who wait until the General Election in November to engage, often find their options limited and sometimes feel like they are tasked with choosing between “the lesser of two evils.”
LET US PRAY…
Father, prepare the hearts of Kentucky voters as the election approaches. Remind us of Your principles and commands, that they may guide us. Give us eyes to see, ears to hear, and a mind to discern. May we engage, so that our political parties and choices in November may be impacted in a God-honoring way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
