Victory for Kentucky Kids

“For the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.” – Deuteronomy 20:4

In this year’s legislative session here in Kentucky, confused and vulnerable kids found much-needed shelter in the final passage of Senate Bill 150. This immensely important piece of legislation protects struggling kids from the exceedingly harmful and dangerous life-altering gender “transition” procedures.

Unfortunately, some transgender advocates like the ACLU and the National Center for Lesbian Rights have aimed and targeted SB 150 in an effort to take it down through a lawsuit. On June 28th, the day before SB 150 was to go into effect, U.S. District Judge David Hale issued an injunction on the bill, thus stopping it from going into effect.

In response, Attorney General Cameron acted swiftly to defend SB 150 by filing an emergency motion challenging the Judge’s decision that stopped parts of the bill from going into effect. In Tennessee, the state’s legislature passed a bill as well that shields children from experimental transition procedures. Tennessee also had a judge block their law from going into effect last month.

Praise God, on July 8th, the Sixth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in a 2-1 ruling granted an emergency appeal from Tennessee temporarily allowing the law to stay in effect while the court process continues. Thankfully, just days ago, U.S. District Judge David Hale reversed his earlier decision to halt parts of SB 150 due to the Sixth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals’ decision to allow Tennessee’s law to stay in effect as the Court will consolidate the two cases.

This is a victory for Kentucky kids as they are now protected from dangerous experimental “transition” procedures such as puberty blockers, cross-sex hormone therapy, and surgical mutilation that can lead to life-altering damage.

LET US PRAY…

Father, we praise You that vulnerable kids are protected from dangerous experimental transition procedures right now in Kentucky. Lord, we thank You for Attorney General Cameron’s tireless defense of Senate Bill 150. Father, empower the Sixth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to rule righteously and keep SB 150 in effect here in Kentucky. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
