Let Us Pray: Victory for Olympic Women’s Sports

“For the LORD your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.” – Deuteronomy 20:4

In 2022, Lia Thomas, who is a biological male but “identifies” as a transgender female, won an NCAA women’s swimming championship in the 500m freestyle by utterly dominating the female competition.

Thomas, however, was not finished in his attempt to steal championships from women swimmers.
Thomas wanted to participate in the 2024 Olympics by competing and swimming against biological women once again. Thankfully, World Aquatics, the body that governs elite swimming competitions, has a common-sense ban prohibiting biological males from competing against biological females for the Paris Olympic trials.

In an attempt to reverse this policy, Thomas hired the Canadian law firm Tyr to represent him in requesting the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland overturn the rules imposed by World Aquatics. Praise be to God, recently, the Court of Arbitration for Sport rightfully rejected Thomas’ request.

Thankfully, female swimmers in the 2024 Olympics will not have to deal with the havoc that Thomas has caused other female athletes in the past. World Aquatics commented on the court’s correct decision by stating, “we believe it is a major step forward in our efforts to protect women’s sport.” May actions like this only continue until all women’s sports are protected from the ridiculous ideology of the transgender movement that threatens to destroy them.

LET US PRAY…

Father, we praise You for this right decision to protect female swimmers in the 2024 Olympics from the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Lord, may all of our athletic governing bodies put in place policies and procedures that provide protection for female athletes and women’s sports from the transgender movement. Father, we pray that World Aquatics will remain strong in its defense of women’s sports and athletes. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
