“Let marriage be held in honor among all…” – Hebrews 13:4a
Recently, in the case of West 49th St., LLC v. O’Neill, New York Civil Court Judge Karen May Bacdayan ruled that those in polyamorous relationships are entitled to the same legal protections as those in two-person relationships. This ruling was made after an apartment dispute that led to a court hearing.
In essence, trial court Judge Karen May Bacdayan gave New York’s blessing to legally protect people in polyamorous unions. Unfortunately, as many of us knew, this is where the 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges decision that legalized same-sex marriage leads to.
As our nation continues to reject God’s design for marriage, America becomes a land where all things become permissible, as in this case. This is an exceedingly dangerous position to be in. America is eroding marriage, the most primary relationship, which will lead only to cultural and moral chaos.
The United States must stop this reckless downward cultural spiral that follows the idea that there are no objective truths, like that of marriage, gender, and life. God has set the standard for each one of these important truths and to receive His blessings, the U.S. must align once again with His standards, starting with marriage and the family.
LET US PRAY…
Father, help our nation to return to Your truth about marriage and family. Lord, may our nation as a whole understand that rejecting Your truth is never an avenue that brings Your blessings upon our land. Father, help us to be faithful advocates for Your truth. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
